Standard Semen Analysis
A semen analysis gives us valuable information about the quality of sperm. It is simple, non-invasive, and essential for understanding a man’s fertility potential.
Our semen analysis checks:
- Sperm Count (Concentration): Ideally 15 million or more per milliliter.
- Motility: At least 40% should be moving, with at least 32% moving progressively.
- Morphology: At least 4% of sperm should have a normal shape.
- Volume & Liquefaction: Normal semen volume is 1.5 ml or more, and it should liquefy within 30 minutes.
This basic test already tells us a lot but for many couples, it’s just the starting point.
